Subject Matter Support for Chemistry

Look no further! The Learning Gardens offers Subject Matter Support (Tutoring) in Chemistry with Grey Cedars, our math and science expert. Grey is a former chemist who worked for years in industry and now helps teach Chemistry and other hard science topics to neurodivergent learners.

Grey has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners of all types. Grey is also neurodivergent and understands that everyone learns differently and that sometimes, neurodivergent learners need different strategies. At The Learning Gardens, we will help your child identify where in the learning process they are struggling, what specific content that they are having difficulty understanding, and then work with them to develop strategies to overcome these challenges.

Unlike traditional tutoring where the tutor just reviews terms and definitions and explains concepts at the learner, Grey utilizes research-based methods to ensure that your child is engaged in the learning process throughout the session, so that they develop their own understanding of the key terms and concepts and they leave with strategies and guidance to improve their Chemistry comprehension and performance.
